Condition of Pakistan

Pakistan is a Muslim country having most of its population living in south central western India and the northwestern part of it. It occupies a big area and its people are poor. The main source of income for these people is agriculture. In this part, many crops such as wheat, paddy, rice, sugarcane, cotton, etc. are grown. Their climate is hot and arid with rainfall of around 2500 mm.

In 2022 was a huge flood in South Central West Asia, especially in Pakistan where many people were killed in floods. They had to stay back. However, they have recovered a lot of lives now. According to recent reports (2021), Pakistan’s capital city Karachi was affected by flooding for 1 to 4 days, which caused loss of life & injuries. Many buildings got damaged because of water and some people died because of drowning. Meanwhile, Pakistanis in other parts of the country are also affected. Here I am talking about the 2022 flood.

Pakistanis live under very bad conditions

In a way, all Pakistani people live in terrible conditions and face much hardship in their lives. At present Karachi is badly wrecked and housing there can be said not habitable at all. They want the government to provide shelter to them. That will help them a lot in rebuilding the city and providing a better future for their children.

After getting so many deaths due to floods, the government has already started talks about building a larger river to clean Islamabad & make the place clean enough for its citizens, but it would take up to 12 months or more to complete that. If the situation doesn’t improve then they will have to move these people somewhere else soon. So we will have to see if our politicians can do anything soon to get us out of this mess.

What is happening in Karachi?

There are almost 8 million people residing in Karachi. Around 50% of them are Muslims making them a vulnerable group to any calamity, especially during times like this. A large number of people have moved here from different parts of Pakistan.

As we just discussed above, Pakistanis are in worse shape than Hindus because of their land rights. Pakistanis have been taken away from their homes for centuries (at least since 1700). Therefore when the earth collapses, so do their houses and their lands. Due to this reason Muslims are facing many hardships in their lives especially right now. It took me 6 years to rebuild my house from scratch.

If you belong to a minority group like religious minorities, political minorities, students, women, disabled, etc. then you need to ask yourself what you can do to protect your rights. Do you know any religion that encourages the oppression of other people? That does not apply to every religion. For instance, Islam itself was founded on the concept of equality, justice, and peace. You need to learn this lesson from history, if you don’t want people like me to come and destroy you then get rid of these things.

I am always asking myself why am I being blamed like that. Why are the people in Pakistan who kill each other so badly being given such an excuse that they did not deserve it? How come someone is willing to commit such crimes? The answer to that is simple, if we live in peace there won’t be war. There won’t be fighting, hate, bloodshed, and crimes. This country should work to solve these issues if they have got nothing else but to solve those problems. People would understand if they can make a difference in society. Even if someone’s doing the wrong things, he is just trying to make a better world for his family and his community. Don’t get angry but it is just one way to control one’s emotions, you should try to focus on the social welfare, education, and healthcare of everyone. These are the main factors of prosperity.

All Pakistani people are still living in poverty and we can’t expect the government to solve all our problems due to politics. No miracle will happen under the current circumstances. We must start thinking positively now. Otherwise how long will we keep going along this path? I doubt anyone here is expecting miracles here. What they need more than their own children.

Pakistan is a beautiful country because it is home to thousands of cultures and religions, but only some are being celebrated on TV channels. Those people who celebrate other cultures live in poverty, where they can’t feed themselves and their families.
